Job Description
ABOUT THE POSITION
The Division of Gastroenterology at the University of Louisville School of Medicine is seeking a Gastroenterologist with a therapeutic focus to join a division engaged in diverse clinical and academic practice, and research including multiple NIH grants, and two NIH Center grants.
Appointment will be at the rank of assistant or associate level, depending on qualifications and experience.
Position Responsibilities
- Teaching
Teaching responsibilities may include participation in clinical diagnosis, lectures to medical students, and extramural programs such as continuing medical education lectures at area hospitals.
- Service
Will interact with the division chief and faculty for the continued expansion and development of therapeutic endoscopy throughout the U of L health system.
- Clinical
Clinical practice includes hospital rotations, inpatient and outpatient endoscopy, and office-based patient care. The primary clinical focus of this position will be on Therapeutic Endoscopy. The ideal candidate would have experience in EUS, ERCP and POEM and will play a pivotal role in the division's expanding clinical trials program.
- Research
