VanAire, a military friendly employer, seeks a full-time Accountant to join their team in Gladstone, Michigan.

WHAT WE OFFER.
$18 – $25 per hour, determined by education and experience.

WHAT YOU WILL DO.
Maintain accounts payable integrity: Track vendor accounts, reconcile ledgers, and ensure accurate reporting.
Collaborate with Purchasing Department: Work together to resolve discrepancies and maintain positive relationships with our vendors.
Sales & Use Tax reporting: Keep our monthly tax reporting accurate and timely.
Support Accounts Receivable: Help verify accounts receivable and cash receipts as part of our financial control tasks.
Backup other accounting tasks: Be ready to assist with additional accounting needs when required.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR.
Someone who’s both knowledgeable and personable.
Solid understanding of accounting principles, especially double-entry accounting.
Proven experience managing accounts payable.
Strong skills in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
Great communication and interpersonal skills for working with vendors and team members
An Accounting, Business, or Finance degree (or working toward one) is a plus.
