Work within the nursing process to provide direct nursing care to assigned patients, provide clinical leadership, and assume relief charge duties. Serve as a role model to promote a positive work environment and quality patient care.Responsibilities:Follow patient safety-related policies and procedures.Enhance professional growth and development through education and training.Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for patients.Identify and report potential safety concerns.Administer medication and document clinical findings.Assist with special tests and procedures.Deliver safe direct care to assigned patients.Ensure patient medical records contain necessary information.Participate in orientation and precepting of new personnel.Encourage patient participation in their own care.Qualifications:Graduate of a nationally accredited nursing program.CPR certification within 30 days.RN licensure in New Mexico or reciprocal agreement.Basic Arrhythmia Certification within 1 year.PALS certification within 6 months.Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certification within 6 months.Trauma Nursing Core Course certification within 6 months.Physical Conditions: Heavy work, exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly.Working Conditions: Essential: Chemicals, biohazardous materials require PPE.
