Job Description
Work within the nursing process to provide direct nursing care to assigned patients. Serve as a role model to promote a positive work environment and quality patient care. Patients may include neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric age groups.Responsibilities include:Following patient safety-related policies and proceduresEnhancing professional growth through education and trainingMaintaining a safe and comfortable environment for patientsIdentifying and reporting potential patient safety concernsAdministering medication and documenting clinical findingsAssisting with special tests and proceduresDelivering safe direct care to assigned patientsEnsuring patient medical records contain necessary informationParticipating in orientation and precepting new personnelQualifications:Nationally accredited nursing graduate1 year of directly related experienceCPR certification and RN licensure in NM or by reciprocal agreementHeavy work physical demands and exposure to chemicals and biohazardous materials
