Cucina Alba is an upscale Italian restaurant located in the heart of Chelsea, New York. As a member of the Prince Street Hospitality team, we strive to provide our guests with an exceptional dining experience. We are currently seeking a skilled Line Cook to join our kitchen team.
Job Description
The primary responsibility of this role is to cook and prepare high-quality dishes in our fast-paced kitchen environment. This requires attention to detail, ability to multitask, and excellent communication skills. The ideal candidate will be able to read and follow recipes, maintain a clean work environment, and work effectively as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook ingredients according to recipe specifications
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure smooth kitchen operations
- Adhere to food safety and sanitation policies
- Meet production demands while maintaining quality standards
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- 1+ year of experience in a high-volume restaurant setting
- Excellent knowledge of various cooking methods and cuisines
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy objects
- Strong verbal communication skills
- Familiarity with industry best practices and equipment
Compensation and Benefits
We offer a competitive salary range of $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience. In addition, you will receive benefits such as health insurance, paid time off, and opportunities for career growth.
