UMMO, a renowned Italian restaurant in Chicago, is seeking an experienced and skilled Pastry Cook to join our prestigious pastry team. At UMMO, we excel at crafting innovative desserts with precision techniques, bold flavors, and exceptional presentation, creating unforgettable experiences for our discerning guests.We are looking for a dedicated professional who shares our passion for the art of pastry and is eager to expand their knowledge in a dynamic, fine-dining environment.Key Responsibilities:Collaborate closely with the Pastry Chef to develop and execute an innovative dessert menu that showcases our culinary expertise.Maintain high standards of consistency, flavor, and presentation across all dessert offerings.Ensure cleanliness, organization, and efficiency in the pastry kitchen, contributing to a seamless workflow.Participate in inventory management, monitoring ingredients, and ensuring quality and freshness of all pastry components.Requirements:Proven experience as a Pastry Cook, preferably in a high-end or fine-dining restaurant setting.Strong foundation in pastry techniques with a commitment to learning and contributing to an innovative pastry program.Excellent teamwork skills, with the ability to take direction and collaborate effectively.Bilingual: Fluent in Spanish and English (Spanish required for this role).Flexible schedule, with availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.We offer a competitive salary range of $55,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on experience. Additionally, you will have opportunities for growth and development within our esteemed pastry team.
