We are seeking a dedicated Hospital Security Officer to join our team at St Vincent Hospital in Erie, PA.This role involves serving and safeguarding our high-profile healthcare customer, ensuring the surveillance of their premises and protecting staff, members, and visitors. The ideal candidate will be vigilant for signs of crime, disorder, hazards, and unusual activity.The Hospital Security Professional will patrol on foot, bicycle, or via a vehicle to check for unsafe conditions, security violations, mechanical problems, and unauthorized individuals. They will also orally and physically de-escalate individuals as needed.In this role, you will have the opportunity to:Observe and remain vigilant for signs of crime, disorder, hazard, and unusual activityPatrooling premises to detect and prevent any suspicious activityInspect all security devices and fire control equipmentScreen members, visitors, and client employees to expedite their admittance to the facilityTo excel in this position, you should possess prior work experience involving dealing with customers, troubleshooting, and/or managing stressful situations. Additionally, you must be at least 18 years of age (21+ years for armed roles) and possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience.A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only. Post offer, you must successfully complete the training requirement and obtain a Management of Aggressive Behavior certification.This is a full-time position offering a competitive salary of $15.00/hour with opportunities for career growth and advancement.
