Job Description

This position monitors and report on the companys inventory. This role will make sure processes are followed and propose new processes, if needed, to ensure the efficient handling of the companys products and supplies that are critical to achieve business goals.

The goal is to ensure that all business operations have adequate material to achieve their objectives and maintain inventory levels.

Inventory Essential Accountabilities:

  • Develop and/or revise inventory management policies and procedures to optimize inventory control.
  • Maintain the inventory in smart sheets and QB system to make sure it contains accurate information.
  • Provide coaching or training to new employees, when inventory errors exist, when new procedures are put in place and/or offer refresher as part of a planned improvement action.
  • Audit picking of completed orders to ensure the correct parts have been utilized meeting the material order requirements to maintain inventory control and accuracy.
  • Interrogate the inventory data continuously to highlight any anomalies.
  • Investigate inventory inconsistencies analyzing the data to find the root cause and implement actions to resolve the problem.
  • Assist in determining root causes for these anomalies and coming up with solutions.
  • Communicates material needs to procurement and maintains inventory levels.
  • Plan, organize, direct, manage and evaluate the inventory management activities.
  • Audit inventory system to ensure accuracy.
  • Maintains quality by following and enforcing the process ss and support with process reviews.

Fulfillment Essential Accountabilities:

  • Communicates with production supervisor/leads to establish daily, weekly, and monthly fulfillment goals.
  • Provides fulfillment information by compiling, initiating, sorting, and analyzing performance records and data, answering questions and responding to requests.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Implement corrective actions and communicate to everyone that is involved in the process to avoid repetitive issues
  • Perform cycle inventory counts at both the SKU and location level.
  • Responsible for actual counts; must be knowledgeable about inventory items to be counted, the counting procedures used, and location of all inventories.
  • Reports to manager on stock levels, issues, etc.
  • Works closely with all concerned to make sure inventory processes are being followed.
  • Reconcile inventory records for complete and accurate counts.
  • Assist in loss prevention investigations when required, determining root cause of material loss (es).
  • Ensure FIFO inventory method is utilized.
  • Identify expired or near expired material for revalidation or final disposition.
  • Monitor condition of inventory labeling to ensure item and status are clearly identifiable and visible.
  • Communicate effectively (written/verbal) with all levels of the organization.
  • Maintains quality by assisting in establishing and enforcing organizations standards.
  • Creates and/or update standards operating procedures analyzing operating practices, record keeping systems, forms of control, and personnel requirements.
  • Additional duties may be assigned from time to time.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Computer skills Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, SharePoint.
  • Software knowledge on Smartsheets, QB, Nitro Pro, Bartender
  • Communicate effectively (written/verbal)
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills.
  • Ability to create and follow a schedule.
  • A demonstrated background of strong work habits, clear organizational, and the ability to be a productive team member of a growing organization.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Detailed oriented and able to multitask.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
  • Able to walk around the production plant to audit and oversee cycle counts and inventory control processes.
  • Previous experience operating forklift

Education/Experience:

  • HS or GED diploma
  • Bachelors degree education a plus
  • 3 or more years of inventory experience
  • 2 or more years working in a manufacturing environment
  • APICS certification a plus

Compensation details: 23-25 Hourly Wage
