Labor Relations Director/Paralegal

Position Overview

We are seeking a candidate with a focus on labor relations and experience working with guilds (e.g., WGA, SAG, and DGA).

Responsibilities:

  1. Advise clients regarding union contract compliance for assigned bargaining units and/or assigned topics.
  2. Advise clients regarding discipline of union employees, including cause standards, as applicable, investigations, and rights to union representation.
  3. Responsible for handling union grievances, through pre-arbitration phase, as assigned.
  4. Initial point of contact for union inquiries; triage, research, respond, and resolve as assigned.
  5. Support and execute union contract administration.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s degree.
  2. Minimum of 4 years of relevant labor relations experience.
  3. Proficiency with web-based databases and Microsoft Office suite, including Excel & Power Point.

  1. Excellent communication (oral and written) and interpersonal skills.
  2. Solid administrative skills, attention to detail, and organization.
  3. Ability to manage high-volume and time-sensitive workload.
  4. Ability to handle extremely sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  5. Experience drafting, negotiating, and working with contracts.
  6. Ability to work independently with legal teams.

Salary Description:
$75,000 - $90,000 per year
