Job DescriptionCareers With PurposeJoin our not-for-profit organization that has provided over 100 years of housing and services to seniors with a commitment to quality care and service in a Christian environment.Facility: GSS ND Oakes Location: Oakes, ND Job SummaryThis opportunity allows an LPN to travel locally by working in various GSS locations within a 150-mile radius from home address providing care with competitive pay, mileage reimbursement, flexibility, and no contract requirement.Support multiple locations within 150 miles of your permanent addressMileage reimbursementAdditional $5 per hour float premiumAdditional $1.25 per hour weekend shift differentialAdditional $1.25 per hour evening/night shift differential; 6:00pm – 6:00amRequired to work at least 24 hours per monthRequired to work at least one weekend rotation per month3-month previous experience in Long Term Care required, 6 months preferredNo contract requiredResponsibilities:Ensures the health, comfort and safety of residents.Contributes to the assessment of residents and administers medications or treatments as ordered.Provides technical support to healthcare professionals as needed.Documents resident interactions as needed and the outcomes related to resident care, medication, behavior, activity, and dietary.Skilled in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with resident, health care providers, and the public.Qualifications:Graduate from an accredited practical nursing program as a Licensed Practical Nurse.Associate degree in practical nursing is preferred.Currently holds an unencumbered Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license with State Nursing board and/or possess multi-state licensure privileges.Obtains and subsequently maintains required department specific competencies and certifications.Benefits:The Good Samaritan Society offers an attractive benefits package for qualifying full-time and part-time employees.
