HonorVet Technologies is seeking a local contract nurse RN Psychiatric for a local contract nursing job in Elmira, New York.
Job description: All shifts are available and the hours vary. The candidates can indicate their preference for an 8, 10 or 12 hour shift and will have every other weekend off. Candidates that are selected will be fully trained. 1. Assess the educational needs of the patients and incorporate these into the nursing care plan. 2. Assess, diagnose, plan, implement and evaluate the care of patients using the Nursing Process. 3. Serve as Primary Nurse responsible for coordinating individual patient care utilizing the Nursing Process. 4. Utilize knowledge of medical, psychiatric, psychosocial aspects of illness in the care of patients. 5. Provide therapeutic environment including counseling and teaching according to the patient's developmental level and ability to comprehend. 6. Serve as a role model/consultant, teacher, resource staff as a professional nurse responsible for the provision of quality patient care, professional relationships, compliance with professional facility standards. Supervise and evaluate RNs and paraprofessional staff as assigned. Provide overall direction to shift when assigned as charge. 7. Must be able to perform basis computer functions required for the position.
