About This RoleWe are seeking a skilled and experienced Meat Associate Team Leader to join our team at Whole Foods Market. As a Meat Associate Team Leader, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our meat department.Job ResponsibilitiesDepartment Leadership: Assist the Team Leader in all aspects of daily operations, including profitability, expense control, buying, merchandising, labor, regulatory compliance, and special projects as assigned.Team Development: Lead and develop Team Members to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to excel in their roles.Customer Service: Ensure a positive company image by providing courteous, friendly, and efficient service to customers and Team Members at all times.Store Operations: Perform tasks as outlined in team and store Standard Operating Procedures and be prepared to perform duties inherent in other Team Member job descriptions.Required Skills and QualificationsLeadership Experience: 18+ months retail Team Member experience and 6+ months of supervisory experience.Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal, motivational, team building, and customer relationship skills.Product Knowledge: Extensive knowledge of meat products and thorough product knowledge.Regulatory Compliance: Advanced knowledge of regulatory and safety policies and procedures.Maintenance and Repair: Ability to use tools and equipment, including box cutters, electric pallet jacks, and other heavy machinery.BenefitsWe offer competitive pay, ranging from $20.05 to $27.53 hourly, commensurate with experience.
