Vital Medical Transport seeks Paramedics for Memphis division. Full-time and Part-time positions available with competitive Compensation and Benefits package.Paramedics provide advanced emergency and non-emergency paramedical care. Respond to emergency calls, perform medical services, and transport patients to medical facilities. Give medications orally and intravenously, interpret EKGs, and use other monitors and complex equipment.Perform duties in a calm, reassuring, and efficient manner. Maintain composure in stressful situations to assess medical situations and perform emergency lifesaving procedures.Safely transfer patients onto and lift stretchers into ambulances if needed.Must have a valid Tennessee Paramedic License.Responsibilities:Abide by State of Tennessee Policies and Procedures.Respond to non-emergent and emergency medical calls.Assess patient conditions and determine treatment courses.Administer medications as outlined in Vital Medical Transport approved Standing Medical Orders.Use backboards and restraints to keep patients safe during transport.Help transfer patients to emergency departments and report observations and treatment.Create patient care reports and document medical care given.Replace used supplies and check or clean equipment.Safely drive ambulances and transport patients between facilities.Requirements:Must be 18 years old or older.High School Diploma or GED.State of Tennessee Licensure as a Paramedic.Valid Driver's License with a good driving record.Skills and experience with a high proficiency at the BLS level of service.Interpersonal skills including compassion, listening, and communicating.Problem solving and organizational skills.Current CPR Certification.Preferred:ACLS Certificate.PHTLS Certificate.ITLS Certificate.National Registry Certification.Conditions of Employment:Successful candidate must submit and pass a post offer, pre-employment physical examination, drug test, and criminal background check.May be required to submit to annual TB and rubella screening.Work within the Vital Medical Transport Compliance Program.Maintain all certifications and licenses throughout employment.Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:Work involves exposure to elements, extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors, and loud noises.Extensive physical activity, heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling objects over 100lbs.Exposure to potentially dangerous materials and situations.Work with blood or blood-borne pathogens.24-30.5 Hourly Wage
