Position Summary:

This position is responsible for providing direct care by assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating care of patients in ICU department while assisting director as needed with supervisory duties.  Full Time position. Open to internal candidates only.

 

Duties

·   Prepares patient care area adequately and ensures availability of necessary equipment and supplies.

·   Reviews and carries out physician orders timely and according to policy.

·   Reports to physician any patient changes in condition, test results, etc. in a timely manner.

·   Assures that patient meets all discharge criteria.

·   Provides orientation, direction, training, education, coaching and mentoring to staff

·   Ensures compliance with policies, procedures, protocols and regulations.

·   Serves as a resources to staff and other departments. Leads the handling and resolution of issues and complaints.

·   Determines, coordinates and supervises daily staffing assignments

·   Leads by example. Creates and fosters an environment of teamwork and exceptional service.

·   Assists Director with competency verifications, performance evaluations and other areas as needed.


Minimum Qualifications:

·   Must be a licensed RN in the State of Utah

·   Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification required

·   2 years of nursing experience preferred

·   Supervisor experience preferred
