Job Summary and Qualifications

As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in line with the requirements of the department and the standards of practice for the relevant state and specialty. Collaborating with medical providers and the care team, you will provide personalized, comprehensive, and compassionate care, following established nursing models such as "Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage." You will also act as an advocate for patients, families, and caregivers, embodying the organization's vision, mission, and values to ensure an outstanding patient experience and positive clinical outcomes.

    PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS

    ·Applicable to Las Palmas Medical Center and Del Sol Medical Center

    ·All seasonal staff are required to work a minimum of 72 hours per pay period during the seasonal period. Regardless of start date, seasonal program/assignment ends on March 31, 2025.

    ·Within a close geography, you may be asked to float to another facility that has an emergent staffing need.

    ·Four (4) weekend shifts are required each 4 week schedule period.

    ·During the course of the 32-week period, the employee is required to work two (2) holiday shifts (defined by Department Manager or designee), if holidays fall during their temporary assignment period.

    ·Seasonal Staff are TEMPORARY status employees and are subject to first call-off. There are no guaranteed hours by the hospital. Seasonal Staff will not be eligible for benefits.

    ·Registered Nurses who are in the Seasonal program will have one opportunity to pass the clinical competency evaluation.

    Shifts may vary based on the needs of the department.

    "REQUIRED LICENSURE AND/OR CERTIFICATION

    1.RN licensed in State of Texas/Compact.

    2. BCLS certified

    3. Current ACLS (Exception: NEW GRADUATE must obtain within six (6) months from date of hire

    REQUIRED EDUCATION:

    1. Associates Degree or BSN

    EXPERIENCE REQUIRED OR PREFERRED (list required and preferred separately

    ·Critical Care Background

    ·Dysrhythmia Recognition

    ·Proficiency in EKG

    SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES:

    1. Medical nursing unit experience preferred

    2. Read and write basic English with basic skills necessary to transfer physician orders

    3. Knowledge of body substance isolation

    4. Ability to move in excess of 100 pounds with assistance from others

    5. Effective communication skills, both oral and written.

    6. Basic computer skills and proficiency

    7. Strong interpersonal, organizational, and problem solving skills
