Novant Health seeks a full-time, nights Registered Respiratory Therapist II (RRT) at Kernersville Medical Center. Respiratory Therapists practice under respiratory and ventilator management protocols with a high degree of autonomy. They perform intubations and insert a-lines.Responsibilities:Acts as a patient advocate by incorporating education in the interdisciplinary care plan.Prioritizes job duties according to patients' needs and changing acuity levels.Administers and evaluates medication therapies, performs patient transfers, and transports patients.Provides routine respiratory care, such as ABGs and bronchial hygiene therapy, and performs higher levels of care in critical care areas and emergent situations.Demonstrates independence in the specialty of Respiratory Care, practicing according to state requirements and standards.Critical Care Specific: Ventilator management, code blue, airway management, and interpretation and intervention with blood gas analysis.At Novant Health, we value diversity and inclusion.
