Job Description
Provides professional nursing care for patient comfort and well-being. Prepares equipment, assists physicians during exams and treatments, and administers medications. Monitors patient vital signs, observes and records patient care and reaction, and participates in patient care planning.Participates in patient care planning, directs and assists in aseptic techniques, and offers leadership to support staff. Works in a state-of-the-art emergency department, ICU, and surgical suites.State-of-the-art emergency department, ICU, and surgical suitesTeaching facility in affiliation with the Texas AM University System Health and Science Center College of MedicineAccredited Chest Pain CenterAccredited Joint Commission Stroke TeamRequirements:Education/Skills:Graduate of an accredited nursing school with ability to assess, plan, and evaluate nursing care.Experience:One year of nursing experience preferred.Licenses/Certifications:Current Texas State RN LicenseCPR (American Heart Association)ACLS required within 6 months of hire/transfer datePer Diem As Needed.
