Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist to join our team at UPMC - Pittsburgh Medical Center. As a key member of the surgical team, you will be responsible for preparing operating rooms, passing instruments to surgeons, and assisting with patient care.Responsibilities:Prepare operating rooms and equipment for surgical procedures, ensuring a safe and sterile environment.Pass instruments, sponges, and sutures to surgeons during procedures.Assist with patient positioning, draping, and preparation for surgery.Maintain accurate records of patient data and specimens.Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure smooth and efficient procedure execution.Requirements:Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) or Technologist Surgery Certified (TSC)Basic Life Support (BLS) certificationAct 31 Child Abuse Reporting clearanceAct 33 and Act 34 clearancesAct 73 FBI Clearance2+ years of experience in a similar roleSalary and Benefits:$65,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience.
