Job Title: Occupational Therapist

Location: Main Street, Tuba City, AZ 86045
Duration: 13 weeks (with possibilities of extension)
Shift:Monday - Friday 8am-5pm

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess and interpret evaluation and test results for patients of all ages.
  • Develop and implement individualized occupational therapy treatment plans.
  • Provide direct therapy services and adjust plans as needed to maximize patient progress.
  • Maintain the operation and organization of the Occupational Therapy program for both inpatients and outpatients.
  • Provide specialty services including custom orthoses, sensory integration, cognitive treatment, and ADLs.
  • Conduct assessments and treatment for specialty clinics, such as Spinal Cord, Geriatric, and Assistive Technology.
  • Document patient care and treatment plans in electronic health records (EHR).
  • Ensure compliance with Occupational Therapy Code of Ethics and Scope of Practice.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and risk management strategies.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as physicians, nurses, and social workers, to provide comprehensive care.
  • Provide in-service training and educational support for staff and students.
  • Assist with the direction and development of the Occupational Therapy service.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy from a program accredited by the American Occupational Therapy Association's Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education (ACOTE).
  • Licensing & Certification: Must possess a valid, current, full, and unrestricted license from the American Occupational Therapy Association and the Arizona Department of Health Licensure or be licensed in any U.S. state, District of Columbia, or Puerto Rico.
  • BLS Certification: Must maintain a current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
  • Fingerprinting: Fingerprinting must be submitted and cleared prior to employment.
