Job Description:We are seeking a skilled Wine Program Manager to join our team at Kent Hospitality Group.Job Summary:The Wine Program Manager will be responsible for maintaining the integrity of our wine program, ensuring proper wine service in our dining room, and working closely with the Wine Director to manage the wine list and facilitate staff training.Responsibilities:Help maintain a clean and well-organized wine cellar in accordance with Wine Director's guidanceKeep staff abreast of beverage changes on the wine list, specifically regarding staff education about wines poured by the glassAssist with monthly inventory and update the wine list using BinWise when necessaryParticipate in tastings and select wines in coordination with the Wine Director to curate the wine listManage inventory of WBTG items and create purchase orders for submission to the Wine DirectorConfirm deliveries are accurate and acceptable, and restock and put away wine deliveries when necessaryOversee and facilitate WBTG training for newly hired dining room employeesRequirements:Must have 3 years+ experience in a fast-paced NYC restaurant as a SommelierMust be able to lift and carry at least 50 poundsMust be able to stand for long periods of timeMust be comfortable with repetitive motions such as walking, bending, and standingMust be knowledgeable of industry critics and awardsMust have full schedule availabilityMust be able to take constructive criticisms and work well in a team dynamicBenefits:This is a full-time position requiring full availability on weeknights. Our restaurants are closed on Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day.Salary:$60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience.
